Hi, I'm Randall
A full-stack web developer focused on creating experiences and building the interfaces people need to access them.
After 12 years in education, I approach development differently. Whether I'm building a web app, running a classroom, or running Dungeons & Dragons, my goal stays the same: design an experience, then create accessible interfaces for everyone to participate.
I spent over a decade as an English teacher, and technology lead. I led a school-wide laptop initiative for 150 teachers and 1,200 students. I built automated systems to streamline laptop troubleshooting across multiple departments. For the last two years of my teaching career, I taught AP Computer Science and raised the pass rate by 20%.
What makes me different?
I communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. I translate complexity into clarity. This helps me work with designers, product managers, and stakeholders who don't speak developer.
I plan and adapt at multiple levels. I see the macro vision and the micro details. I know where my attention will have the most impact.
I focus on UX/UI because that's where the experience lives. Every interface choice either opens access or blocks it. I build systems that invite people in.
What I'm Looking For
I want to join a team where I grow as a developer and contribute my perspective. I'm targeting junior full-stack roles or developer advocate positions where my teaching background, planning, and communcation skills become major assets.
Check out my projects to see what I've built. If you're looking for a developer who designs experiences and builds accessible interfaces, let's talk.
